07.31.09 The Descendents - Thank You

Well, the time has come for this month to end.  I saved this song for last since I chose it as the blog’s header while I’ve been at the helm.

I’ve learned a lot of things about myself this month.  Mostly that there are a lot of stories and I really loved being able to share them with you.  Hopefully you’ve enjoyed it, too.  I feel like my personal experience with music is really unique and has shaped a huge part of who I am.  Doing this has, in a way, made me really vulnerable but at the same time, open to a greater understanding of who I am.

Thanks for reading guys.  I look forward to seeing the coming months :]

the promise ring - size of your life

the promise ring is my favorite band, and if my tumblr name didn’t allude to that enough, the fact that i’ve posted nearly half of their songs on here should do the trick. wood/water has never been my favorite TPR album, but i can’t stop listening to it lately. it’s loose, reminiscent of summer, one of those versatile albums you can wear on sad days or sunny days or late-night last minute paper writing days. so as the northeast juggles sun and rain and oddly chilly july days, this album has pulled through for all of them.

Wood/Water is the only Promise Ring album I listen to. it’s the only thing that out-Weakerthans the Weakerthans.
